Dennis Cobb is an accomplished public safety executive with experience in both private and public adult education. After retiring from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police in 2007 as Deputy Chief with over 24 years of service in a range of assignments, he has worked with government and private organizations training primarily on emergency operations and communications. This includes conducting AAR's on national level critical incidents to include the 1 October mass casualty incident in Clark County. A skilled and experienced trainer, Dennis has wide-ranging experience that includes presenting over twenty-five DHS Active Shooter Preparedness workshops to thousands of people, training public safety professionals in critical areas such as the Incident Command System, instructing university students at the University of Nevada Las Vegas Informatics program, and instructing a University of Phoenix criminal justice course. During his police career, Cobb was accredited by the Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training board as an in-service police trainer and authored his departments first crime scene investigation handbook as well as instructed police officers and supervisors in Business Writing and Administrative Skills.
